We are looking for:

Geoinformation Specialist

 

Your duties would be to:

  • create the concept and architecture of systems based on spatial data (GIS systems, systems and methodologies for processing satellite images and navigation systems) along with their implementation
  • process and analyze of satellite images (optical and radar)
  • prepare of technical analyzes, feasibility studies and scientific articles in the field of satellite imagery, GIS systems (including 3D and for the purposes of security and crisis management), navigation systems
  • business development in the field of Earth observation through:
    • participation in the process of creating new projects from their idea to implementation
    • creating and cultivating partnerships, consortia and other commercial relationships aimed at expanding outlets for Earth observation products and services
    • support in building and implementing the Company's strategy in the area of ​​Earth observation
  • participate in the preparation of applications for funding R&D projects and their subsequent implementation
  • manage the work of the team in the field of Earth Observation, including:
    • preparation of project applications
    • managing the technical scope of projects
  • plan tasks for the team
  • report to the head of the department
  • support sales activities
  • cooperate with other departments in the company (if necessary)

This is what we do need from you:

  • higher education in geodesy and cartography or geoinformatics or photogrammetry and remote sensing
  • very good knowledge of software for remote sensing and GIS analyzes like: QGIS, SNAP, GeoMedia, ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine LPS, SketchUP or AutoCAD
  • high technical qualifications in the field of Earth observation and processing of satellite images (optical and radar)
  • experience in preparing proposals for the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Commission (H2020) or the National Center for Research and Development (NCBiR)
  • ability to create reports within R&D projects
  • good knowledge of English allowing free communication and writing/reading of technical documentation – a necessary requirement
  • independence, creativity and good organization of work

but we would also appreciate the following:

  • experience in implementation of projects in the field of Earth observation
  • experience in business development in the field of Earth observation
  • knowledge of the Polish and European space industry (especially in the field of Earth observation)
