In October, Astri Polska finalized the satellite river-ice monitoring system. The role of the service is to deliver up to date information about the current situation on the rivers and help to avoid the floods. The solutions were developed within the ESA and World Bank EO4EP programme.  The ice-jams are one of the main reasons for the floods in Poland in the winter season. Astri Polska delivered the last of four electronic devices (EGSE) contracted within the NeoSat (Eurostar Neo) programme. The contract value was 5 mln PLN (1,2 mln EUR).  The Eurostar Neo programme aims to develop the new generation platform of the telecommunication satellites. The new platform will be 30% less expensive, in comparison with the designs used so-far, also offering a better capability regarding the payload. The prime contractor of the Eurostar Neo programme is Airbus Defence and Space. Within the contract, Astri Polska delivered 2 types of EGSE’s: two Simulated Electrical Flight Model and two Simulation Front End. We’ve finalized the last stage of the radiation tests of the AGGA-4 advanced integrated circuit which is the key component of the space-grade GNSS receivers. The AGGA-4 was exposed to the protons, and being monitored by our test environment.  In the nearest future, AGGA-4 will be running the space-grade GNSS receivers installed on Earth observations, navigations, telecommunication satellites, as well as launch vehicles. The test programme aims to verify the operation of the AGGA-4 during exposure to the space radion, in particular, heavy ions and protons. Astri Polska started the assembly of the electronic devices, which will make it possible to test the ground stations responsible for the communication with the MetOp-SG satellites. The equipment is called the MetOp-SG RF Suitcases Astri Polska has been assigned to design and manufacture three types of the ESGE’s for the MetOp-SG programme. The Simulation Front End and the Simulated Electrical Flight Model, are used to validate electronic systems of the MetOp-SG satellites. The RF Suitcases are used during the validation and qualification of the MetOp ground stations, responsible for communication with the satellites.
